Flight Characteristics
The ROLLING is a certified wing which is very agile and has a lively handling. It is designed for learning acrobatic manouevres up to intermediate level.
We also recommend the ROLLING for any non-acro pilot, who is looking for an agile and dynamic glider, which is tested, trimmed and fine tuned by Raul Rodriguez. It has light brakes at all times which makes the learning of negative manouevres easy. Entry into SAT and Asymmetric SAT is very easy to understand. The wingtips remain inflated at all times. The wing works well in Rhythmic SAT and it banks up easily. It is not designed to go totally vertical and it will not perform Infinit.
The ROLLING has a very good glide and climb performance and an effective accelerator.
Blue: To fly this wing at this weight is uncertified. The wing reacts in a slow and unsafe way during
acro manouvres.
Green: This weight range will give the Beginner Acro Pilot a good reaction time, ideal for learning the basic acro manouvres.
NEGATIVE Manouevres: the pilot can easily learn the basic negative manouevres: Full Stalls, Spins and Tail Slides.
DYNAMIC Manouevres: The wing has the ideal energy input to allow the pilot to learn Pitch Pendulums and start to control small Wing Overs.
SAT Manouevres: the wing maintains pressure at all times making it easy to learn SATs.
Yellow: This is the ideal weight range for learning acro for all pilots from Beginner to Intermediate level.
NEGATIVE Manouevres: the wing has a comfortable reaction time which allows a good learning curve for all the manouevres of this type including Helicopters and Misty Flips.
DYNAMIC Manouevres: any type of dynamic movement is excellent at this wing loading with fully energised and precise handling.
SAT Manouevres: the wing has enough momentum to progress to Asymmetric SAT and Rhythmic SAT. It goes into Tumbling easily but is is not recommended to go totally vertical as the wing collapses easily.
Orange: Within this weight range the wing reacts much faster and the pilot must have at least an Intermediate level to control it.
NEGATIVE Manouevres: fast reactions in negative requiring very precise piloting at all times.
DYNAMIC Manouevres: with this loading the wing is very fast allowing all dynamic manouevres to be performed without any loss of pressure and precise handling.
SAT Manouevres: the SAT, Asymmetric SAT and Tumbling are highly pressurized although it is not advisable to go totally vertical as the wing collapses easily.
Red: From this weight onwards the manouevres become extremely radical requiring absolute pilot
control at all times. Any piloting error will result in big collapses and very fast autorotations.
