Harness repairs
When it comes to harnesses, there is no prescribed check – as a manufacturer we recommend however, that you regularly devote some time to examining your harness for wear and tear.
In order that you are able to take off again as soon as possible in your harness, we try to take care of small repairs immediately. More time-consuming repairs such as the replacement harness straps are of course also carried out as rapidly as possible in our purpose equipped service workshop.
All current materials such as nylon- and Cordura materials, various foams, webbing, Karabiner and harness fittings, etc., necessary for a professional service are always on stock.

If after years of use your harness shows signs of wear, or for example a zipper is jamming:
Our Checkpoint Charly in Seeg is your point of contact when it comes to checks, repairs, alterations or other special requests.
Paraglider harnesses are generally produced abroad – Charly is one of the very few in the trade with the necessary heavy industrial sewing machines, special material for repairs and experienced personell on site.
All current materials such as nylon- and Cordura material, various foams, webbing, Karabiner and harness fittings, etc., necessary for a professional service are always on stock.
Examine your harness after 2, at the latest after 5 years thoroughly.

The operating licence lapses 10 after the sales date of the harness, unless extended by carrying out a check at the manufacturers.

What must I pay attention to, when sending my harness for inspection/to be repaired?
Send us your harness, ideally in a carton, with an assignment stating what is to be done, and with descriptions of any deficiencies that you have noticed (damaged areas should be marked with coloured tape).
Do not forget to include your address for the return postage, and a telephone number where we can contact you during the daytime in case of queries!
If the harness has to be returned to you at an exact date then please call before sending us the harness (phone: 08364/1286), and draw our attention to this fact with a covering note.
We shall return your harness along with the inspection journal (download of the journal for
» hangglider harnesses or » paraglider harnesses) by DPD (Deutscher Paket Dienst).
