Safe and competitive paragliding helmet corresponding to flying helmet standard CE EN 966 with impact resistant ABS shell and high-quality EPS shock absorption foam. Now also available in exclusive full-carbon-look. The revised textile interior in 4 fixed sizes provides for perfect fit, maximum comfort and doesn’t affect hearing. The interior XS, S, M and L now have been adapted to the Insider sizes. The helmet shell pulled far down offers protection also by side impact and moreover provides a considerably better fit of the helmet.		The helmet is predominatly flown without chin guard, even though a screw-on chin guard is included in delivery. The chin guard primarily is intended for towing where it offers protection against releases catapulting back. CHARLY Insider

With its unbeatable fit and its good value for money, the Insider is still a bestseller.
This helmet is particularly popular because it offers full protection without considerably disturbing the field of view. Also, it is possible to converse with someone before and after the flight despite the chin guard. The helmet edges pulled inwards contribute to an extension of the field of view and help reduce air drag.

Insider Features:

• Thanks to a vacuum high-pressure moulding process, the aramid fiber reinforced outer shell is weight-optimized and can be produced with a constant quality. Material selection and manufacturing process ensure optimum strength and durability.
• The Insider produces little wind noise such that the radio set Vox operation works fine. The airspeed can still be assessed well as the helmet limits the hearing ability only to a minor degree.
• The helmet shell pulled far down at the sides improves the fit on the head and allows for completely pressure-free ear pads. The wide, well padded internal chin strap also contributes to the wearing comfort.
• Aerodynamically clean without tail: The insider enables an unobstructed upward view and avoids neck injuries.
• The skin-friendly and breathable full textile interior lining (made in EU) provides for a comfortable helmet climate. The breathable padding is skin-friendly and antibacterial. Comfortable fit also for special sizes like XS and XXL.

CHARLY No Limit Jet

High class PG visor helmet with an unobstructed downward view.

No Limit Jet Features:

• Premium Quality at a moderate price. The aramid fiber reinforced outer shell is manufactured in a vacuum high-pressure moulding process with a heated metal mould and thus offers the highest possible breaking strength at minimum weight. Aramid fiber surpasses carbon fiber in terms of impact resistance.
• Premium look: The helmet features a scratch-resistant enameled multi-layer coating. The helmet shell's material and finishing make the No Limit Jet virtually resistant to age.
• Aerodynamically clean without tail: The No Limit Jet enables an unobstructed upward view and avoids neck injuries.
• The clear polycarbonate visor mounted on the helmet is break-proof and equipped with an anti-reflex, anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment. The No Limit competition visor helmet offers maximum safety at minimum air resistance. High-grade materials and an elaborate manufacturing process provide for constant quality, maximum safety and a long life expectancy.

No Limit Features:

Quality characteristics of air sports helmets that you should pay attention to:

1. Air sports helmets must be certified according to the European test standard CE EN 966. An important difference to CE EN 1077 for winter sports helmets is the shock absorption test. While the drop height of the dummy with the helmet is 0.75 m for the ski helmet standard, it is twice as high for the air sports helmet standard. Air sports helmets therefore guarantee a significantly higher level of protection than winter sports helmets.
    
2. The CE EN 966 standard does not require a chin guard. But to prevent damage to the jaw and teeth, chin protection is recommended not only for hang glider pilots but also for paraglider pilots. However, the chin protection of air sports helmets must not significantly restrict the field of vision. An appropriate design should be considered in view of the danger of air collisions.
    
3. Helmets made of thermoplastics (PE, ABS or PC) age under UV radiation and should therefore be replaced after 2 to 5 years of use. In contrast, helmet outer shells made of fibre-reinforced two-component plastics (such as those of No Limit and Insider) are not only much more stable, but also practically unrestrictedly resistant to ageing.
   
   
4. The inmold manufacturing process is ideal for Hike & Fly helmets, as it can save 20% weight without reducing the protective function. In this process, the EPS damping material is foamed onto the upper and lower polycarbonate helmet shells which are attached to the inside of the foam mold. Foam and helmet shells are thus firmly welded together, resulting in a highly resilient, bending-resistant helmet structure ("sandwich construction"). Disadvantages of this production method are the higher costs compared to normal hard shell helmets and the higher risk of damage during transport. Point loads, such as those caused by impacts on edges, can cause small dents in the foam, which become visible due to the firm bond with the outer helmet shell. However, the protective function is only impaired if a dent covers a larger area and is several millimeters deep.
    
5. A prerequisite for optimum protection is a close fit of the helmet on the head, which can only be achieved with a fine gradation of sizes. To be able to cover a wide range of sizes with head circumferences of 54-63 cm, at least 3 basic sizes are required, even for size-adjustable models.
    
6. Since the air noise is relevant for the estimation of airspeed, the design of the ear pads plays an important role. It is advantageous if the padding does not rest on the auricle, but is guided around it.
   
   
7. Important for spectacle wearers: The interior of the helmet should also allow the glasses to be put on afterwards.

CHARLY Loop

The Charly LOOP is a very comfortable, safe and well-priced paragliding and winter sports freestyle helmet that can optionally be equipped with a visor.

The Charly VS visor, available as an accessory, reduces drafts and protects against UV radiation. It fits over most glasses. Since it does not seal tightly and is therefore very well ventilated, there is no danger of a tarnishing of glasses worn under the visor. Thanks to the clip on the back, the helmet is also compatible with ski goggles.
